After being an active volunteer of the center since 1994, Kay was hired as the Volunteer Coordinator at the Lewis Center for Educational Research in 1997. She coordinated the volunteer-run outreach programs and taught enrichment classes at the AAE. Since October 2000, she supervises the Local Outreach Department. She continues to teach enrichment classes at the AAE.
Her responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overseeing the current outreach programs, supervising the volunteers, and developing new programs. Designing new innovative hands-on programs is rewarding and allows Kay to be creative, which is something she loves to do! Seeing the 'spark' in a child from doing hands-on activities with volunteers is wonderful! When not working, Kay enjoys family, rubber-stamping, and eBay!
