Solar System

A Student-Facilitated Program for Cross Age Learning

Bring your Pre-K through 2nd grade classes to learn about the Solar System. This is a student-facilitated program for cross age learning. Upper elementary students from The Academy for Academic Excellence, here on our Mojave River Campus, are trained to guide Pre-K through 2nd grade students in learning about our solar system.

Students rotate through 8 different stations within a 1-hour hands-on program. Here is what the students learn about, including a "Make & Take" project:

  • Constellations
  • Revolution/Year
  • Balloon Racing
  • Matching Game
  • Day & Night
  • Meteors
  • Planets
  • C02 Rockets
