Stacy Newman has worked for the Lewis Center for Educational Research (LCER) since 2002. She currently serves as the Director of Human resources, responsible for the Lewis Center’s human resources management and employer/employee relations.  Working closely with the Lewis Center’s Executive Team and Board of Directors, Stacy is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, evaluating and implementing all human resources management functions for the Lewis Center, it two schools, and programs.  Stacy earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science and Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership with a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Chapman University. 

Before joining the Lewis Center, Stacy began her career in public service while working for the Barstow Fire Protection District in 1998, where she served as the Professional Assistant to the Fire Chief.  Stacy was responsible for fire prevention and public education in the community and coordinated District events acting as the public information liaison between the District and the community.  As part of the management and confidential unit, her human resource/administrative responsibilities included but were not limited to payroll & benefits, accounts receivable, hiring/termination procedures, health benefits management and record keeping.
