Richard Piercy Sr. Memorial Digital Film Scholarship

The Richard Piercy Sr. "Digital Film" Scholarship was created to encourage young filmmakers at the Academy for Academic Excellence in the pursuit of excellence in digital film production.  The fund was created in the honor of Richard Piercy Sr. who, in his last years of life found tremendous enjoyment working with the Academy's young film students and their instructor, Mr. Steve Orsinelli.  Mr. Piercy was encouraged and awed by the creativity and technical knowledge of the young people he was able to work with.  At the time of his death, April 30, 2005 he was working on the History of Victorville project with a group of his life long friends and the students.
