AVCI STEM Field Trip

The Lewis Center for Educational Research and Apple Valley Unified School District have teamed up to provide a hands-on science center right here in the High Desert! Located on our Thunderbird Campus, students get to experience science first-hand. They will rotate through three grade level specific, NGSS-aligned activities and have free exploration time in our Exploratorium. Some activities include:
  • NOAA & NASA’s Science on a Sphere
  • AR Sandtable to see how and when landforms change due to environmental activity
  • Decomposition stages
  • Tour through the Solar System
  • The Sun and its effects on us
  • Earthquakes tables
  • Invisible forces
  • and so much more!

This field trip is both indoors and outdoors. Please dress for the weather.  
Lunchtime is built into the field trip, so be sure to bring lunches.  Refrigeration in not available. 
 
Student will shop in the AVCI gift shop.  Prices range from $1-$15.  All proceeds go to AVCI.
