A Student-Facilitated Program for Cross Age Learning
Upper elementary students from The Academy for Academic Excellence are trained to guide your students in learning about the lives of pioneer children. Students rotate through six different stations within a 2 1/2 hour hands-on program in our western town. Students make and take home their own butter! They learn what life was like for pioneer children and compare it to their lives today. Is it better? Have we done a good job preserving our resources? Are all improvements good for us? What lessons could be learned in preservation?
